Mr. Vrana, the son of Joseph and Mary Gruntorad Vrana, was born Dec. 31, 1878, in Butler County. He attended the rural schools. A retired farmer, Mr. Vrana spent his entire life in the Abie community. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. His first wife, the former Anna Cink, died Oct. 3, 1915. On Nov. 21, 1916, he was married to Mary Frana at Plasi. He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Mrs. Emil (Adeline) Prochaska of Abie, Mrs. John (Lillian) Kopecky of Linwood, Mrs. Ed (Lucille) Hein of David City and Mrs. Tillie Ustohal of Schuyler; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Kirchner of Omaha.
