Louis was born on April 25, 1917 in Hamburg, IA; the son of Enos Milton and Viola Mae (Fivecoats) Adkins. He was united in marriage to Esther Adkins on June 17, 1937 in Rock Port, MO. He entered the United States Army on August 6, 1945 and was honorably discharged on February 22, 1946. City and Steve Adkins and wife Roxanne of Nebr. City; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings Doris Flannigan of St. Louis, MO; Carol Creek of Nebr. City and Dallas Adkins, Sr. of Brock, NE; other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Esther on July 17, 2010; grandchildren Julie Hauptman and Chad Adkins; siblings: Neva Creek, Howard Adkins, Lloyd Adkins and Hubert Adkins.
