He was born March 3, 1925, at Pleasanton, to Alfonso and Elisa Anderlini Passeri. He attended Frontenac schools and graduated from Frontenac High School. He attended college and studied music for two years. He was born March 3, 1925, at Pleasanton, to Alfonso and Elisa Anderlini Passeri. He attended Frontenac schools and graduated from Frontenac High School. He attended college and studied music for two years. Mr. Passeri served in the U.S Army with the 81st Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop in the Pacific Theater campaigns from July 23, 1943, until Feb. 2, 1946. He also was a bugler while in the Army. On Nov. 5, 1949, he married Carole June Koopman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac. She survives at the home. Mr. Passeri was employed by Clemens Coal Company for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac, the Benjamin Fuller American Legion Post. No. 64 of Pittsburg and the United Mine Workers Association. He was a former member of the VFW. Additional survivors include a son, Steve Passeri of Pittsburg, a daughter, Patricia Krantz of Pittsburg and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with Fr. Robert McElwee of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Frontenac, officiating. The Benjamin Fuller American Legion Post No. 64 will provide military graveside rites. Burial will follow the services. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. Friends may call at Brenner Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. Morning Sun, The (Pittsburg, KS) Published: October 28, 2000 ~~ ~ Pittsburg couple injured in wreck at grocery store An elderly Pittsburg couple remained hospitalized in the intensive care unit at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., following a Friday automobile accident in the parking lot of a Pittsburg grocery store. Louis Passeri, 75, and his wife, Carole, 71, of 1011 N. Water, were listed in stable condition at St. John's by a hospital official Saturday night. They were injured around 12:30 Friday afternoon when their 1989 Buick Park Avenue crashed into a wall at Ron's IGA, 310 E. Centennial. The accident reportedly occurred as the couple was leaving the store. Louis Passeri was driving the car, according to Pittsburg Police reports. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Pittsburg Police Department. The Passeris initially were taken to Mt.
