Dostal, 100 of David City, Died April 22, 2014 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Louis Q. Dostal was born May 18, 1913 on the family farm near Abie, Nebraska to Edward and Rosie (Kovar) Dostal. He attended Dist. 39 School in Butler county. Louis was inducted into the United States Army on January 14, 1943 at Camp Dodge, Iowa. He was Honorably discharged on February 13, 1946 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. While in the service, Louis met Evelyn Boese while in Virginia. They were married August 22, 1954 at Portland, Oregon. Except for his time in the service, he was a lifelong farmer in the Octavia area. He was proud to attend Dist. 39 School, and also to have served on the Octavia school board Dist #17 for over 20 years. Louis was a member of the American Legion Post #125 of David City. Louis is survived by his wife Evelyn of David City, Sons Dennis (Carolyn) Dostal of Octavia, Gary (Cynthia) Dostal of Muskego, Wisconsin. Four Grandchildren, Adaela and Heidi Dostal, Andrew Dostal and Katie Dostal. Sister Rose Piitz of Brainard. many nieces and nephews.
