Description	:	In loving memory of Louis Boley (CWO 4 Retired) born December 8, 1929 to John F. and Margaret (Eyer) Boley in Topeka, KS. Louis passed on March 9, 2019 in Salina. On June 17, 1953 he was united in marriage to Juanita Strawn, their union lasting over 65 years, she survives. Together they have 5 children: John Boley (Diana), Wakefield, Mark Boley (Connie), Concordia, Cindy Boley (Bennie), Myra, Texas, Jay Boley (Deb), Meade, and Rex Boley, Salina. He is also survived by a brother, Joe Boley (Theresa), Sand Springs, Oklahoma. They have been blessed with 16 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids, with one on the way. He was proceeded in death by a sister, Francis (Richard) Hargis and his twin brother, Tom (Velma) Boley, nephew Alan Hargis. Lou was very proud to serve his country for 26 years in the Army and Army National Guard. During this time he was a Chief Warrant Officer that was in charge of suppling armories across Kansas. He loved playing golf and spent his retirement days playing at Forbs Field and Ellsworth Golf Courses. While living in Ellsworth he worked part time as the City Inspector. He enjoyed helping people and was a servant leader. Lou started a Leadership program in Ellsworth County and was a Silver Haired Legislator until he moved to Salina. He was a Forth Degree Knight and member of the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Parrish. While living in Eskridge, Kansas he owned a Leather Repair Shop where he repaired saddles and tack for ranchers and worked the annual Labor Day Rodeo. Services will be 10 a.m. March 22, 2019, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Salina. Family will welcome visitors after the service in the Parrish Hall. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make Memorials to Kansas Wounded Warriors, Salina First Tee or Ellsworth County Meals on Wheels. Memorials can be sent in care of Louis Boley to Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
