He was born in Kearney, Nebraska on March 7, 1912 to Clyde O. and Myrtle Lilly (Conklin) Page. Louis married Pearl Lucille McClellen, of Maxwell on Oct. 27, 1933 in North Platte. They lived through the tough times of the depression, working at whatever was available in North Platte and surrounding areas. They learned to live on a shoestring and how to make-do. He was born in Kearney, Nebraska on March 7, 1912 to Clyde O. and Myrtle Lilly (Conklin) Page. Louis married Pearl Lucille McClellen, of Maxwell on Oct. 27, 1933 in North Platte. They lived through the tough times of the depression, working at whatever was available in North Platte and surrounding areas. They learned to live on a shoestring and how to make-do. He was honest and very hard working. He gave good measure and was always willing to help those around him. In 1939, he went to work for Western Construction Co. out of Grand Island, Neb. This construction work later took him to work on the John Martin Dam near Lamar, Colorado. In 1942, they returned to Nebraska and purchased a farm south of Jeffrey Lake, where they have farmed and ranched ever since. He farmed with horses and was good at shucking corn. He developed a knowledge of veterinary services that nmade him sought after by those in the area. He spent time breaking horses for himself and others, and worked for some of the larger cattle operations in the area. He was never afraid to try anything. He was a hero to most of his grandchildren. He loved the Lord and diligently tended the Lord''s resources. Survivors include his wife; a son Leon (Helen) Page of Waverly, Nebraska; and a daughter. Arrangements are with Blasé Memorial Chapel in Gothernburg. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
