Father James McClusky officiated and the burial was in St. Michael's cemetery. Ulrich was born 12 September 1891, to Louis and Theresa Ulrich at Monterey and died Saturday morning 14 December 1968 in St. Francis Memorial Hospital following several years of illness at the age of 77 years, 3 mos. and 2 days. He received his education at Olean, NE. On 11 February 1920, he married Mary Ortmeier. They were parents of five children. Mr. Ulrich was a farmer till 1939, when they moved to West Point, NE. he then was employed at Joe Koepping Creamery, Schmidt Gravel and was a custodian at the Court House for eleven years and at the time of his death he was retired. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors are his wife, Mary, one son, Raymond of Fresno, CA, four daughters, Clara,Mrs. Leo Grovijohn, Helen, Mrs. Jim Richmond, Angela, Mrs. Bob Breetzke, and Delores, Mrs. Bill Mitchell. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jim and Nancy Grovijohn, David and Mary Lynn Breeztke, , Debbie, Cindy, Jan, Brent, and Jeff Ulrich and two great grandchildren: Brian and Brenda Grovijohn of Omaha. One sister, Gertrude Litz of Omaha, five brothers; Conrad of Hartington, Fritz of Dodge, Frank, Ted and Clement of Omaha. Relatives and friends attending the funeral rites from Omaha, Columbus, West Point, Hartington, Dodge, Howells, Sioux City and Fresno, CA
