Hoppe. 64, Underwood, a longtime area farmer, will he held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from St. John's Lutheran church here, the Rev. Ronald Bongard officiating. Mr. Hoppe died unexpectedly at his home Friday of an apparent heart attack. A son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoppe, he was born in Gaylord, Minn., June 3, 1898, and came to North Dakota in 1900, with his parents who homesteaded southwest of here. He grew up in the Underwood vicinity and farmed south of here most of his life. He married Ida Schauer on Nov. 4, 1928, at Underwood. They lived in Underwood for the past six years. Besides his widow, he leaves one son, Wilbur, St. Paul. Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Elaine.) Sayler, Underwood, and Janet, at home; three brothers, John, Henderson, Minn.; Frank, Gaylord, Minn., and Charles, Duluth, Minn., and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Active pallbearers will be TeRoy Hepnow, Harold Lutz, Wallace Gylten, Kenneth Becker, Denver Roseberg and Hilbert Bartz. Burial will be made in the church cemetery here. Honorary pallbearers will be George Roseberg, Osar Swanson, Albert Sayler, J. O. Wenger, Art Schauer, William Wilke, Fred Reitman, Fred Stadick, Christ Weisz, Q. O. Sayler, Ferdie Swanson, Floyd Leidholm, I. H. Berg and Rudolph Holmes.
