Description	:	Louisa C. “Lu” Edwards, 90, a resident of the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul, died there at 7:50 p.m, Friday, November 13, 2015. She had resided there the past five years. She was born September 17, 1925, at Hale Center, Texas to Amos and Eva Lee (Allen) Brunell. In her early years the family lived in Texas, Koshkong, Missouri, Poplar Bluff, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri. In her early years the family lived in Texas, Koshkong, Missouri, Poplar Bluff, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri. On August 30, 1944 she and Charles W. “Bud” Edwards were married at the Grant Avenue Baptist Church in Chanute. After their marriage they lived in Earlton, Chanute, Hepler and Erie. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1997. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Erie, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her many interests included genealogy, crocheting, knitting and family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Eva Goff and her husband Gene, of Girard, Charlene Stroup and her husband Randy, Jacquetta Edwards and Dorathy Petty and her husband Charles, all of Erie, and Anita Shepherd of Topeka, 19 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a sister, Mae Murrell, of Seguin, Texas. Preceding her in death was a daughter, Jenevieve Ann Clark, of Ft. Scott, a granddaughter and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Erie, with Pastor Jay Hobson officiating. Burial will be in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. The family will receive friends at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday. Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
