Good health failed her early last week, but with the constant care of loving hands and physicians, her recovery was highly anticipated. The last two months, however, surveyed her a bedridden victim afflicted with cancer. Surrounded by her family and relatives, she stole away to the reward of her life's journey. Louisa Clara Neppl was born May 18, 1885 at Carroll, Iowa where she spent most of her youth. At the age of twenty-two, she came to the Creighton and Brunswick vicinity, where she found work, at one time being employed in a Creighton restaurant. On February 11, 1900, she was united in marriage to Peter J. Anderson at St. Ludger church, Creighton. They resided on his farm five miles north of Brunswick and they have lived in and near that vicinity until September 21, 1932, when death called her at the age of forty-seven years, four months and three days. She leaves to mourn; her husband and ten children; Mrs. Helen Cole of Sioux City, Mrs. Hilda Briggs of Royal; Oliver, Lucille, Louis, Harold, Kenneth, Dorothy, Norman and little two year old, Deloris, all of Royal; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Raab of Oklahoma and Mrs. Wm. Thomassen of Creighton; three brothers, Frank, Louis and Henry of Carroll, Iowa. A stepmother, two stepsisters and a stepbrother, all of Carroll, also survive her. Her parents, one sister Anna and an infant son preceded her in death. Her mother died when Louise was but five years old. Funeral services, held on Friday morning at St. Ludger church were conducted by Father Windolph and Father Brady of Plainview, a very touching eulogy being rendered by the former. Interment was made at St. Ludger cemetery, Creighton. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. ...The Creighton News 29 Sept 1932 Birth year does not match stone.
