Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the home with Rev. E. St. Clair officiating. The body was taken to Folsomville and interred. Mrs. Roberts, widow of the late Geo. W. Roberts, was born Jan. 15, 1853, near Folsomville, the youngest daughter of Morman and Dicy Fisher. She was married in the 15th year to Geo. W. Roberts. To this union were born: John W., Charles A., George W., Ida V., Mrs. Hazel Rudolph and Kenneth B. of Boonville; Wesley Roberts of Evansville, Mrs. Gertha Hull of Kentland, and Frank P. of Bluefield, W. Va. All these were at her bedside when death came. She was converted in her 16th year and became a member of Folsomville M.E. church. In 1910 the family moved to Boonville, where they have since resided. She transferred her membership to Main Street M.E. church and became an untiring worker in the cause of righteousness and lived a consistent christian life. In her home life she was ever cheerful and of a kind and lovable disposition; always deeply concerned about the welfare, comfort and happiness of her dear ones. She was a good neighbor and her influence reached out far beyond her immediate surroundings. She took sick Dec. 26 of weakness of the heart. During her illness she was patient and bore her afflictions without a murmur, and faded away peacefully on the morning of April 9, at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 24 days.
