Obituary for Louisa Martin Matz from the Lancaster Daily Eagle of Monday Evening, April 9, 1928: "Mrs. Louisa Matz Succumbs Sunday. Mrs. Louisa Matz, aged 75, passed away Sunday 9 a.m. at her home two miles north of Stoutsville, demise being due to double pneumonia. Besides the husband, one daughter, Mrs. James Marion of Amanda and one son, John Matz, of Circleville, survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday two p.m. from the Stoutsville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. J. M. Wenrich officiating. Burial will be made in Maple Hill Cemetery by Eugene M. Crites, Stoutsville, funeral director." Obituary for Louisa Martin Matz from the Circleville Herald of Monday, April 9, 1928: "LOUISA MATZ DIES AT STOUTSVILLE. Mrs. Louisa Matz died at her home two miles north of Stoutsville, Sunday morning at 8:50 o'clock. The deceased has been ill only a short time. Her death was due to lobar pneumonia and pleurisy. She was a daughter of Adam and Mary Ann Grosh Martin, and was born February 25, 1853, near Stoutsville. She was married to Wilson Matz at the parsonage at Dutch Hollow, March 19, 1892. Her husband, a son and daughter, Mrs. Joseph Marion of Amanda, and John Matz of this city, survive. The funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church at Stoutsville, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. M. Wenrich will officiate. Interment will be made in Maple Hill Cemetery at Stoutsville. Eugene M. Crites will have the funeral in charge."
