Waller, aged 88, passed peacefully from this life early Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. N. Haskins, following an illness of ten weeks caused by a fractured hip. Louisa M. Furman was born January 7, 1847, in Mehoopany, Penna. and there spent the early years of her life. She united with the Baptist church at an early age and was devoted member of this church until her death. On November 28, 1866 she was united in marriage to George L Waller. The early years of their married life was spent in Pennsylvania. In 1879, or 56 years ago, they moved to Alboin, Nebraska, and settled on a homestead. Here she endured the hardships of a pioneer mother in a sod house. At that time Nebraska was a pioneer state and Grandma Waller lived to see it rank high among the agricultural states the union. From Albion the family moved to Harlan, Iowa, in 1891, where on March 6, 1901, the husband, a Civil war veteran, passed from this life After her husband's death Mrs. Waller moved with her family to Wausa From this time on she lived with her children, most of her time being spent with her daughter, Mrs. H. N. Haskins, except a few years with son E. W., in California. Mrs. Waller led a very active life. until the time of her fall, April 9 which resulted in a fractured hip. She leaves three children. A M Waller, of Saint Edward, Nebraska. Mrs. H. N. Haskins, of Randolph Nebraska and E. W. Waller, of Perris, California . She also twenty grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Will Furman, of Berwick, Penna. She was preceded death by two sons, Harry and Daniel and five grandchildren. Short funeral services were held the house last Friday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Hoff officiating, and Saturday afternoon short services conducted at the grave site in Harlan, Iowa, by Rev. Lewis. Burial was beside her husband. Her grandsons were pall bearers.
