Warren, a native of Lee County, VA. met and formed the acquaintance of Miss Louisa Bethel, a native of Nelson County, KY., to whom he was afterward united in marriage. To this union were born eleven children. The sixth and middle one of this group was named Louisa Nervella Jane, born near the head of Clifty, July 23, 1837. Only two of this family are now living, Aaron Washington Warren and Hanna Maxey, both of whom live in Iowa. At the age of 17, on July 15, 1854, she was united in marriage to Simeon Pollard and soon there-after they made their home in Campbellsburg, where they continuously resided until death closed the scene. To this union were born five children; Alice C., Melora M., Elzora, Minna B. and Anna B. Minnie B. died at the age of 7 years; Alice, who first married to William J. Prow, by whom she had five children, and after his death was again married to Abraham L. Hayes, died July 4, 1912. When past 17 years of age sister Pollard united with the Christian church in Campbellsburg where she continuously held her membership during the remainder of her life, and she and her late husband were two of its most faithful and devoted members, her husband having preceded her in death by 18 years. At the organization of the Sisters' Aid Society of the Christian church here, she was chosen Vice President, in which capacity she served until after the death of sister Mary Cauble, when she became President and continued to serve in this capacity until last summer when on account of ill health, she resigned. At the time of her death she was one of the two oldest residents of Campbellsburg, and doubtless, the oldest member of her church. Last October she fell and received injuries that made her an invalid the rest of her days. She died March 31, 1915 aged 77 years, 8 months and 8 days. Elder John S. Denny was called from Indianapolis to conduct the funeral at the church, after which she was buried at Hop on April 2. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Melora M. Young of New York, Mrs. Zorella Smedley of Smedley and Mrs. Anna B. Jackson, at whose home she died, one brother, one sister, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren."
