Description	:	Thomas Nattle Grigg was born April 18, 1857, in the county of Cornwall, village of Love, England. His parents were Joseph and Mary Grigg, who were aristocrats. He had three brothers and two sisters. Thomas was educated Oxford College in England to be an Episcopalian minister (the wishes of his mother who was very religious). He was ready to be ordained but became opposed to being a minister so left England and came to American with a huge amount of money and three servant boys whose people had worked for his people. His parents were Joseph and Mary Grigg, who were aristocrats. He had three brothers and two sisters. Thomas was educated Oxford College in England to be an Episcopalian minister (the wishes of his mother who was very religious). He was ready to be ordained but became opposed to being a minister so left England and came to American with a huge amount of money and three servant boys whose people had worked for his people. He homesteaded a large number of acres south of Lawton and became a farmer. He later married Louise Hoar who family were of modest means. Louise was born Dec. 23, 1856, in England to William and Mary Hoar. Her father was Episcopalian, a great violinist and baritone singer. Louisa had a beautiful soprano voice. Her mother died when she was ten years old so she had to leave school and go to work for an aristocratic family. She was an excellent meant and poultry cook. She and her fist husband came to American and settled in the Sergeant Bluff area. They had a son William. A divorce took place, and she married Thomas N. Grigg. They farmed south of Lawton for many years and had nine children, three of who died. Ruby died at the age of four months, Elsie was married to a doctor and died of tuberculosis at the age of 20. One brother died at birth. The remaining six children were William, Thomas, Chrissie, Albert, Louise and Fred. When Fred got married Thomas and Louisa moved to Lawton. Thomas N. Grigg died in 1929 and Louisa died in 1930. William married Nettie Marquart, and their children were Chester, Lavonne, Cecil, Bob, and Franklin. Chrissie married Edward Plumer, and they had two boys; Thomas died as a young child and the other boy was Edward. Thomas married Alma Ludwig, and they had three children; Beatrice, Dorothie, and Donald. Albert married Rose Plumer, and they had three children; Geneva died at birth and the other two were Esther and Thomas.
