Description	:	Louise A. Hasenbank, 95, of Clarence, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Clarence Nursing Home in Clarence. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday October 2, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. A private family graveside service, with Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Clarence, Iowa. Louise Strackbein was born March 5, 1926, in Lowden, the daughter of John and Anna (Stuhr) Strackbein. She graduated from Lowden High School in 1944. She attended Iowa Teacher's College in Cedar Falls and taught country school in rural Clarence. She married Arlo Lavern Hasenbank on June 1, 1947. She was a homemaker and also kept books for her husband's business. Arlo preceded her in death on September 21, 1995. She was a member of the UCC church in Clarence, where she served on various church committees. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed drawing pictures and sharing numerous paintings and drawings with family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Patricia) Hasenbank of Iowa City and James (Leigh Ann) Hasenbank of Santa Fe, NM; two grandchildren, Jason and Jessica; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Caroline Hein, Marie Souchek and one in infancy, two brothers, Erwin and Mearl Strackbein, one niece, Gail Souchek and one nephew, Valon Souchek. The family would like to thank the staff at Clarence Nursing Home for the wonderful care she received during the twelve years she made her home there. Chapman Funeral Homes
