Born July 1, 1920, in Spartanburg, S.C. she was the widow of Charles Robert Mabry, and daughter of the late Charles "Charlie" Jerome and Ida Mae Hitt Brown. Mrs. Mabry was a member of Westview Independent Methodist Church, a previous volunteer at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Center, formerly employed at Spartan Mills, and she loved spending time with her great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Lib Marr; and brothers, Jack Brown and Robert Brown. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, in Sunset Memorial Park, by the Rev. Steven Johnson and the Rev. Homer Smith. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, S.C. 29304. Special thanks are expressed to the staff at Wesley Court Assisted Living for their care and compassion. The family is at their respective homes.
