Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Jerry Blake officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m. She was born on March 21, 1912, in Worthington, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Heims) Kelchen. She married Edgar Vaske on Feb. 7, 1934, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, Iowa. They farmed near Winthrop until 1946, and then in the Dyersville area until their retirement. They celebrated more than 67 years of marriage. Surviving are her husband, Edgar, of Shady Rest Care Center; three daughters, Joan Milder, of Davenport, Betty (Tom) White, of Bernard, and Karen (Frank) O'Hara, of Omaha, Neb.; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erma Koppes, of Cascade, Marie Kronlage, of Farley, and Mildred Foxen, of Earlville. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Maurice Milder; three brothers, Paul, Lawrence and Alphonse Kelchen; and three sisters, Katherine Kelchen, Veronica Polfer and Rose Heying.
