Description	:	Elizabeth's father, Abner Blue and other relatives were active in the Underground Railroad near Goshen. She was 14, when her mother died in 1859, leaving her to provide care of her three younger siblings and others in need that may arrive. Three years later her father remarried. Following the War, on November 30, 1865, Louisa married John E. Adams, in her father's home. Two daughters, Hattie and Florence were born to them in Goshen. In the early 1870's they moved to Nebraska and established a Homestead where Grace and Ernest were born. In July 1876, they lost all their crops when the grasshoppers arrived and consumed them, devastating the community. Her brother James L. Blue arrived with his family in 1880 and obtained the section next to theirs in Juanita. Eventually they left the farm, and managed a hotel in Oxford and her husband taught school in Heartwell. Following her husband's death in 1889, she went to live with her daughter Florence and her family in Fairbury. Death of Mrs. Louise Adams Mrs. Louise Adams passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. H. D. Niblack on east Seventh Street, Sunday morning at nine o'clock. The cause of her death being paralysis from which she had been suffering for nineteen years. Mrs. Adams was born in Goshen, Indiana Sept. 19, 1844 and was married to John E. Adams, Sept 30, 1865. The surviving children are Mrs. Hattie Linter, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Florence Niblack, Fairbury; Mrs. Grace McAleer, Clifton, Kansas ; Ernest Adams. The funeral service were conducted by Rev. Marvin E. Gilbert five o'clock Sunday and the remains taken to Geneva to be laid beside her husband.
