Description	:	Funeral services for Louise Adamson, 89, Calamus, were held Friday, March 2, 2007 at Wesley United Methodist church in Calamus, with the Rev. Susen LeBlanc officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, Grand Mound. Ms. Adamson died February 26 at Wheatland Manor. The daughter of Joseph and Louamy "Amy" Hite Faint, she was born May 1, 1917 in Kelsey. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, Grand Mound. Ms. Adamson died February 26 at Wheatland Manor. The daughter of Joseph and Louamy "Amy" Hite Faint, she was born May 1, 1917 in Kelsey. She graduated from Bristow high school and attended Iowa State Teachers College for 2 years, receiving a teaching certificate. She married Edward "Eddie" Adamson on December 16, 1937 in Bristow. He died on January 16, 2005. The couple farmed for many years in the Cedar Falls/Dike area. She worked at the Smart Shop in Cedar Falls and later at the University of Northern Iowa, in the Women's Athletic Department. The couple retired and moved to Calamus in 1980. Mrs. Adamson was an active member of Wesley United Methodist church and was very active as a 4-H leader. She also did volunteer work and was a member of the Shakespearean Club. Her hobbies included ceramics, sewing, baking and painting. She is survived by a son, Edward L. (Phyllis) Adamson, Grand Mound; a daughter, Sherry (John) Swanson, Cedar Rapids; 3 grandchildren; a great-grandson; a great- granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Michael Adamson; and 3 brothers, Robert, LeRoy and Donald Faint. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist church or Wheatland Manor.
