Description	:	May 2, 1916 Washington Evening Journal Word was received here today of the death of ELLEN NICHOLS which occurred at the home of her son Wilson Nichols in Des Moines after an illness which lasted all winter. The funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church southeast of town Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock to be conducted by Rev. S. K. Coates of this city. The funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church southeast of town Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock to be conducted by Rev. S. K. Coates of this city. The funeral party will arrive this evening at 605 from Des Moines and the body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Nichols' sister, Mrs. William Nicholson. Mrs. Nichols was survived by four sons, Rev. James T. Nichols of Des Moines, William Webster Nichols of Colo., Charles Nichols of Whittier, Calif., and Wilson Nichols of Des Moines; one full sister, Mrs. William Nicholson of Washington; two half-brothers, Madison and Jefferson Tucker of Washington, and four half-sisters, Mrs. Hiram Weaver and Mrs. Anna Stone of Coppock, Mrs. Martha Shaw of Red Oak, and Mrs. Ida McCune of Gravity, Iowa are also living. Mrs. Nichols was formerly a resident of this community and was a fine Christian Woman, well known to many Washington people.
