Description	:	Louise E. Kimble, a retired teacher, and secretary died of a heart attack Saturday at Blue Mountain Estates in Pomeroy. She was 84. She was born June 14, 1915, to Albert Clark and Edna Jane (Cochran) McCoy Clark in Canfield, Idaho. She lived on the Doumecq Plains until her mother's death when she was 8. Kimble, a retired teacher, and secretary died of a heart attack Saturday at Blue Mountain Estates in Pomeroy. She was 84. She was born June 14, 1915, to Albert Clark and Edna Jane (Cochran) McCoy Clark in Canfield, Idaho. She lived on the Doumecq Plains until her mother's death when she was 8. At that time she moved to her grandparents' home in Hover, Wash. She graduated from Washington State Normal School, now Eastern Washington State University, at Cheney in 1936. It was while was teaching at the Dry Hollow School in Garfield County in the mid-1930s that she met her future husband while staying with his family. She married Virgil L. Kimble on June 6, 1936. They moved to Lewis County in western Washington in 1941 and her husband taught and worked in the woods. They returned to the Kimble family farm near Dodge Junction in Garfield County in 1945. They built a home on the ranch in 1954. From approximately 1955 to 1960, she taught at the Marengo Rural School in Columbia County, Wash. From 1960 to 1978, she worked as a secretary at the Robert Dye Seed Ranch near Pomeroy. Her husband died on April 17, 1999. She was a member of the Pomeroy First Christian Church for more than 60 years and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a deaconess there and chairwoman of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was an award-winning quilter and made many quilts with the group. During the 1950s she was a 4-H leader. She was a member of the Faith Rebekah Lodge, Evergreen Home Economics Club, and the Heritage Club. She and her husband were Pomeroy Honored Pioneers for 1998. She also was a member of the Pataha Grange. Survivors' names were omitted per findagrave policy. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John McCoy. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pomeroy. The family suggests memorials to the church or the Garfield County Museum in care of Muriel Bott, P.O. Box 33, Pomeroy 99347.
