Description	:	Louise E. Shifflett, 81, of Barboursville, Virginia, formerly of Greene County, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Evergreene Manor, Stanardsville, Virginia. Louise was born on April 26, 1928 in Albemarle County, Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of the late Elmer T. Shifflett and Anna P. Shifflett. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ulysses E. Shifflett and by her older sister, Virginia M. Eddins. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother, me-maw and great me-maw, as well as both a sister and an aunt. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed... Louise was born on April 26, 1928 in Albemarle County, Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of the late Elmer T. Shifflett and Anna P. Shifflett. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ulysses E. Shifflett and by her older sister, Virginia M. Eddins. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother, me-maw and great me-maw, as well as both a sister and an aunt. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Faye S. Wojdylak and her husband, Edward C. Wojdylak of Ruckersville, Virginia; two sons, Nelson C. Shifflett and his wife, Elizabeth J. Shifflett of Ruckersville, Virginia and Curtis C. Shifflett and his wife, Stephanie A. Shifflett of Stanardsville, Virginia; three grandchildren, Melanie Bree Knick and her husband, Drew Knick of Barboursville, Virginia, Katherine Elizabeth Shifflett of Ruckersville, Virginia, Zachary Craig Shifflett of Stanardsville, Virginia; and a great grandson, Carter William Knick of Barboursville, Virginia. She is also survived by her dear and devoted sister, Vera E. Shifflett of Crozet, Virginia, together with numerous nieces, nephews and other devoted family members and friends. Louise retired at 61 years of age from Martha Jefferson House, formerly known as Jefferson House, Charlottesville, Virginia as Executive Housekeeper. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and formerly a faithful member of Cedar Grove Brethren Church. As per her special request, there will be no family night. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Church, 540 Watts Passage Road, Barboursville, Virginia with the Rev. Wendell F. Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Church Road, Dyke, Virginia. The family would like to extend a special thank you to both the staff and residents of Evergreene Manor as well as the Evergreene Nursing Home and to Dr. John McGovern with Forest Lakes Medicine.
