Description	:	Louise Henrietta (Christiansen) Evers (1895 - 1986) Louise Henrietta Evers was born on a farm in Paradise Township, Crawford County, Iowa, March 11, 1895, the daughter of Samuel and Anna Jensen Christiansen. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the local rural schools. On February 10, 1915, Louise was united in marriage with Otto Evers at Denison, Iowa. Read More	Louise Henrietta (Christiansen) Evers (1895 - 1986) Louise Henrietta Evers was born on a farm in Paradise Township, Crawford County, Iowa, March 11, 1895, the daughter of Samuel and Anna Jensen Christiansen. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the local rural schools. On February 10, 1915, Louise was united in marriage with Otto Evers at Denison, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Raymond, Vera and Irene. The Evers made their home on a farm west of Denison where they farmed and raised their family. In November of 1950, they retired and moved to Denison. Otto died January 25, 1965, and Louise continued to reside in Denison until October of 1978, when she moved to Maurice, Iowa, and made her home with her daughter, Irene. Louise died Tuesday evening, September 16, 1986, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa. At the time of her death, she had attained the age of 91 years, 6 months and 5 days. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Including her husband and her parents, Louise was preceded in death by one daughter, Vera Elias, who died March 4, 1959, one son, Raymond Evers, who died June 20, 1985, five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Irene Cose of Maurice, Iowa, one daughter-in-law, DeLoris Evers of Dakota City, Nebraska, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 1986, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa, with the Rev. Kurt R. Kaiser officiating. Music for the service was provided by Mr. Henry Henningsen singing, "Rock of Ages" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", with Mrs. Fred Rabe serving as organist. Casket bearers included her nephews, LeRoy Christiansen, Vernon Christiansen, Robert Christiansen, Charles Christiansen, Lloyd Christiansen and Roger Baer.
