Description	:	Miss Louise J. Errickson, died of cunsumption at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ellen A. Kenner, last Monday evening between 8 and 9 o'clock. She had enjoyed excellent health until about two years ago when a severe cold was contracted that led to impairment of the lungs. Kenner, last Monday evening between 8 and 9 o'clock. She had enjoyed excellent health until about two years ago when a severe cold was contracted that led to impairment of the lungs. Rest, the services of several physicians and a change of climate were susccessively invoked in the stuggle for life but all without avail; the progress of the disease could not be stayed. For several weeks death had been expected almost every hour and would have been a welcome at any time by the unfortunate sufferer as a means of relief. Funeral services were conducted at Christ Lutheran church yesterday morning by Pastor Bob B. Wolf, and the body was laid at rest in the South Salem cemetery. The deceased was born at the Errickson home four miles northwest of Eureka about thirty-two years ago. She was educated at the high school in this city and the state normal at Emporia. After finishing at the normal she entered upon the profession of teaching and was conspicusly successful, her work in the schools of Eureka and of Hutchinson being highly commended alike by patrons and schools officers. When in health Miss Errickson was noted for her happy disposition and constant fund of good spirits which made her a favorite among those with whom she was associated. She had been a member of the Lutheran church from her youth up and died in full faith of a happy existence hereafter. The immediate relatives are a widow mother, two sisters and three brothers, to whom the sympathy of the community is extended. From Eureka Herald January 13, 1898 page 3
