Raised in an immigrant farming family, she was one of eight children with four sisters (Becky, Terry, Penny and Freddie) and three brothers (Gottfried "Klotzy", Jake and John). The family homestead was near the tiny town of Forbes, ND. Louise grew up during The Great Depression. At the age of 13, she began her long and storied life of care giving and service to others when she became a live-in housekeeper/cook/nanny to the first of several families she lived with through her teenage years. After graduating from high school in 1939, Louise completed her nursing degree at Saint Mary's School of Nursing in Pierre, SD. Louise began her long and well-loved career as a registered nurse in 1942. Her first nursing job was in San Francisco, CA where she met a young US Air Force Lieutenant, Anthony James ("Tony") Annalora. They were married on August 10, 1943 and a first child, Donald James, was born in 1944 at the Air Force base in Deming, NM, where Tony was stationed. After her husband's honorable discharge from the service in November, 1945, the young family returned to Miles City, Tony's home town, where she maintained a home continuously for the next 74 years. Always a hard worker, known for her generous heart, wonderful smile and gentle spirit, Louise worked as an RN in Miles City full time for the next forty years in doctors' practices, clinics and at Sacred Heart Hospital. Whether being called to service as a nurse to the only obstetrician in the surrounding eight counties or as the head nurse on the cardiac unit, Louise could always be counted on to answer the call with grace, good humor and her relentless will to help others. Louise was a loving and wonderful mother to her five children; Donald James, Michael Roy, Tamara Louise, Robert Anthony and Jeanne Jo, and her ten grandchildren and her two great grandchildren. She never faltered in her love or devotion to her family and she made each a better person because they had her in their lives. Louise remained a vital, intelligent, funny and spirited woman until her last days. She enjoyed sports of all kinds and was an avid football and baseball fan. She loved spending time with friends and family, playing cards, horse racing, casinos and many other activities. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Miles City for over 70 years. She was active in the retired nurses' group in Miles City. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the Miles City Country Club. She remained physically active and alert well past her 100th birthday. A woman of remarkable vigor, she celebrated her 100th birthday in January 2021 from a private box at a Miami thoroughbred racing park, a night of casino gambling at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL and a wade in the Atlantic Ocean. Few who met her on that day or in the countless days before will ever forget her spunk and zest for life. Louise passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Walton County, FL surrounded by her devoted family. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tony (2004), all of her seven siblings, her son Donald (2011), her daughter Jeanne Annalora Sipich (2018) and her grandson Mathew Annalora (2020). She is survived by her sons Michael and Robert, daughter Tamara, daughters-in-law Joanne Koske Annalora and Peggy Hoag-Annalora, sons-in-law Robert Rucoba and Ken Sipich and nine grandchildren (Anthony P Annalora, Andrew Annalora, Wyatt Annalora, Robert Joseph Annalora, James Sipich, Madison Annalora, Tess Annalora, Rylee Sipich and Savannah Rucoba), two great-granddaughters (Hannah Annalora and Olivia Annalora), and numerous nieces and nephews of many generations, as well as friends of all ages. Louise lived for 100 years, 9 months and 1 day and on each of them she made sure that someone else's life was better for it. Now she's making Heaven a better place for the rest of the angels. Rest well, dear Mother, until we all meet again. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Louise's honor to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children Hospital Family will receive friends on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home, Miles City, MT. A vigil service will follow at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
