Description	:	Louise Lorraine (Foster) Pinkerton, 86 died March 21, 2009 at the Grand Island Veterans Home. A Graveside inurnment will be held on Thursday April 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell City Cemetery with Pastor Sheila Taylor officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy. After graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving as a Hospital Apprentice 1st Class. After her honorable discharge she was united in marriage to Walter Amen in Milwaukee, Wis., where they resided for a year before moving to Gering, where they lived in Eliot's Court until their divorce in 1954. To this union two sons were born who now reside in Oregon, and a daughter who resides in Scottsbluff. Louise married Cleo "Slim" Foster Aug. 14, 1955 in Torrington, Wyo. They resided there until 1972 when they moved to Arizona until Slim's death in 1994. Louise married Grant Pinkerton, on May 11, 1996 in Mesa, Ariz. until his death in 2005, at that time she moved back to the Scottsbluff area to be near her family. Louise enjoyed doing beadwork, crafts and was wild about bingo. She was a member of the Elks, Moose and American Legion in Torrington, Wyo. She is survived by her sons Mike Amen and Steve Amen both of Portland, Ore. and a daughter Coral Amen of Scottsbluff. Pictures of her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren hung proudly on the wall above her bed. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four husbands. April 1, 2009 Star Herald
