As Louise Pfeiffer, she was born Sept. 22, 1860, at Paris, Iowa, and there she spent her early childhood until moving to Marion when she was fourteen years old and attended school. She was married to Charles R. Cheadle April 26, 1880, and began housekeeping in Marion where all their married life was spent. Six children were born to the union, Maude and Mabel dying in infancy. Mr. Cheadle died April 29, 1925. During the early years and up until the time her health gave way, she was an active worker in the Methodist church which she joined when a young girl. She was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and the Mystic Workers lodge. Although the deceased had been ill for a number of years, she had been a patient sufferer and had always been cheerful until the end. Her many friends and relatives will greatly mourn her passing. Those left to survive her are three sons, Charles of Beloit, Wis., Glenn and Frank, both of Marion; one daughter, Catherine, Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Grieshaber of near Marion and Mrs. Mary Heiserman of Quasqueton, and seven grandchildren, Charles, jr., John, Marion, Evelyn, Catherine and Helen Cheadle of Beloit, Wis., and Janet Louise Cheadle of Marion.
