She came to America when 21 years old and was married to Karl Zais June 20, 1886. To this union were born 6 children - 3 boys and 3 girls. The husband and 5 children preceeded her in death. Mrs. A. ZAIS DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME Mrs. Louise R. Zais, nee Louise Karmmara, was born in Germany February 20, 1858 and was confirmed at the age of 14. She came to America when 21 years old and was married to Karl Zais June 20, 1886. To this union were born 6 children - 3 boys and 3 girls. The husband and 5 children preceeded her in death. Mrs. A. A. Nichols, in Concord, a daugher, a sister in Philadelphia, a brother in Germany, 12 grandchidren and 1 great grand child are the surviving relatives. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Zais passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. A. Nichols, in Concord, Tuesday, January 10, 1933, at the age of 74 years, 10 month and 2 days. The funeral services were held from the Evan. Free church in Concord at 2 o,clock last Thursday afternoon. Rev. Alf Stone officiated. Interment was made in the Concord cemetery.
