Description	:	Louise DiRusso, 98, of Leominster, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Sterling Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. Louise was born December 31, 1914, in Civitaretenga, province of L'Aquilla, Abruzzo, Italy, to Marianne (DeMarco) Rancitelli Scipione and Louis Rancitelli. She was the stepdaughter of Sebastian Scipione. Her beloved husband, Albert J. DiRusso, predeceased her in September 2004. They were married 68 years. Louise was born December 31, 1914, in Civitaretenga, province of L'Aquilla, Abruzzo, Italy, to Marianne (DeMarco) Rancitelli Scipione and Louis Rancitelli. She was the stepdaughter of Sebastian Scipione. Her beloved husband, Albert J. DiRusso, predeceased her in September 2004. They were married 68 years. Louise arrived at Ellis Island when she was 14 months old and settled in Leominster. She was a long-time member of Saint Ann's Church and had belonged to the Daughters of Isabella at one time. Louise was educated through the Leominster School system through the third grade when she went to work full-time while also raising her five younger siblings. She worked for 28 years at Commonwealth & Paragon Plastics until her retirement in 1977. Prior to that, she had been employed at Tilton Cook. An affectionate and loving mother and grandmother, Louise was the happiest when spending time with her family. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, making pizzelles and crocheting doilies. Louise leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Buja and her husband Andrew; her daughter, Frances Bacon and her husband John, all of Leominster; grandchildren, Melissa Buja, Andrew Buja and wife Elissa, all of Leominster; Laura Palino and her husband Robert, of Wilmington, Mass.; Leslie Bacon and her fiancé Matthew Albert, of Middletown, Conn.; and four great-grandchildren, Stephanie Buja, Caitlyn Buja, Christopher Palino and Angela Palino. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Her siblings, Samuel Rancitelli, John Rancitelli, Arthur Scipione, Domenic Scipione, Paul Scipione, Anne (Scipione) Longo and Esther (Scipione) Welch, all predeceased her. Louise will forever be in the hearts of her family who adored and cherished her each and every day. Her smile and sense of humor will never be forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Ann's Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster.
