Read More	LOUISE WERLING DIES AT HOSPITAL DUE TO EXPOSUE Mrs. Louise Werling, 84, of Jefferson township, widow of the late John Werling, died at 1:15 a.m. today at the Adams county hospital in Decatur. Death was attributed to exposure resulting from lying for more than 24 hours in a wheat field on he farm of a son, Oscar Werling. Mrs. Werling Sunday evening wandered away from the Werling home, two miles north and one mile east of Tocsin, where she made her home. She was missed Monday morning by members of the family and a search begun. Authorities were called in Monday evening and Sheriff Alva Smith and Deputy Raymond Durr organized a search party with the assistance of Adams County Sheriff Herman Bowman. She was located in the wheat field by Sheriff Bowman about 9 p.m. Approximately 150 persons aided in the search. The decedent was bon on Jan. 1, 1865, at Westfalen, Germany, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Dammeyer. She came to America with her parents at the age of 16. Her marriage on Jan. 16, 1886, (Preble Lutheran Church) was to John Werling and the couple resided in Jefferson township. Surviving are he son, Oscar; a foster daughter, Elizabeth, of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Wefel, of Preble township, and another sister in Germany, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the residence and at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Werling was a member, with Rev. Harry Behning officiating.
