Description	:	Mrs. Louisa Boeckmann Hoath (Hoth), 87, a former citizen of Tripoli, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Wenthe, in Waterloo, Friday, July 10. Death was due to complications and infirmities of old age. Mrs. Louisa Hoath (Hoth) was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Schmidt and was in Meinbourg (sic.), Germany, October 4, 1843. Five children were born to his... Read More	Mrs. Louisa Boeckmann Hoath (Hoth), 87, a former citizen of Tripoli, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Wenthe, in Waterloo, Friday, July 10. Death was due to complications and infirmities of old age. Mrs. Louisa Hoath (Hoth) was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Schmidt and was in Meinbourg (sic.), Germany, October 4, 1843. Her girlhood life was spent in Germany where she received her education in the public and religious schools. She was united in marriage to Fred Boeckmann on October 31, 1867, in Germany. Five children were born to his couple, two sons and three daughters, one daughter, Mrs. Emma Laue, preceding the mother in death. Two years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Boeckmann came to the United States, settling on a farm northwest of Tripoli. In 1898 Mr. Boeckman died. Mrs. Boeckmann remained in Tripoli until 1906, when she was married to John Hoath (Hoth), of Sumner. She lived in Sumner until Mr. Hoath's death in 1914, and then went to Waterloo, where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Wenthe, until death. Surviving are two sons, Gustav Boeckmann, of this city and Fred Boeckmann, sutton, ND; two daughers, Mrs. August Platte, Sumner, and Mrs. W. D. Wenthe, Waterloo; one brother, Carl Schmidt of New Hampton; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Brief funeral services were held Monday afternoon from O'Keefe and Towne funeral parlors at Waterloo, Rev. Herman Siefkes, of Cedar Falls, officiating. Burial was made in the St. Peter's Evangelical cemetery, Tripoli, beside the body of her first husband, Fred Boeckman.
