Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Louise Victoria (Moore) Gammon was born on Monday; March 17, 1930, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City; Johnson County, Iowa along with a twin brother. Louise was the daughter of: Ralph Brown and Franzeska "Frances" (Voltmer) Moore. She was one of 11 children. After graduation from Montour High School in 1947, she worked for Gamble-Skogmo in Marshalltown and attended CIBC. She was soon offered a promotion to the office in Chicago, but because she was only 17, her mother declined permission. She then moved to Ames to work as a senior ticket agent for Greyhound Bus Lines. It was there she met the true love of her life, and married Paul A. Gammon on July 14, 1960, in Omaha; Douglas County, Nebraska. She gained a stepson in Carey, and together they had daughter: Cindy. Louise took great pride in her home and family, and dedicated herself to that life. She was a creative person in many ways, sewing and crocheting being just two. She enjoyed her flower garden and doing yard work, and was seen attending to the lawn until the last two years of her life. She was kind to animals and loved children. While she was a private person, she enjoyed conversing with her neighbors and often made her famous caramel corn for them and the firefighters stationed down the street. Louise Victoria (Moore) Gammon, age: 83, passed away on Thursday; March 28, 2013 at the Boone County Hospital in Boone; Boone County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her daughter: Cindy (Steve) Capellen of Boone, Iowa. Her step-son: Carey (LaVonne) Gammon of Ames; Story County, Iowa and their sons: Chad (Lisa) Gammon and their children: Kaitlyn and Laurel of Cedar Rapids; Linn County, Iowa. Kirk (Kim) Gammon and their children: Hailey, Grant and Cole of Eden Prairie; Hennepin County, Minnesota. Her four sisters: Mary Wernecke of Fountain Hills; Maricopa County, Arizona, Cora Thorburn and Gloria Simco, both of Mesa; Maricopa County, Arizona and Karen (Blair) Hawn of Glendale; Maricopa County, Arizona. Also many extended family members. Louise was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Edith and Nancy; and four brothers, Ralph, John, Lewis and Walter. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. A graveside service of interment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday; April 13, 2013, at the Story Memorial Gardens, 3215 S. Duff Avenue, Ames.
