Greene, 75, died Fri day, May 18, 2007, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Dean C. Greene, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Mrs. Greene was born October 7, 1931, in Whiteford, Md., a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Mary Agnes (Heaps) Williams. She was a lifetime resident of the Whiteford area of Harford County and a longtime member of Delta United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to being a homemaker, devoted mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Greene worked for the Armstrong Cork Co. in Lancaster and the BG&E Co. in Bel Air, Md. She was one of the last telephone operators assisting customers before calls could be made automatically in the Street, Md., area. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, both of Delta, Dawn Scarborough and her husband, Jeffrey, and Steven Greene and his wife, Anna; four grandchildren, Jeremy and Rachel Greene, and Kelsea and Patrick Scarborough; a sister, June L. Atkin, and a brother, James Zane Williams, both of Whiteford, Md. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Delta U.M. Church, 213 Main St., Delta. Interment will be in Jarrettsville Cemetery, Jarrettsville, Md. A visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta.
