HER DEATH WAS SUDDEN Mrs. Will Labahn Succumbed to an Attack of Apoplexy Mrs. William Labahn, whose death was caused very suddenly by the bursting of a blood vessel on the night of February 9, was one of the pioneers of Plymouth county. Mrs. Labahn had retired for the night and had fallen asleep. Shortly afterwards she arose and going downstairs complained of feeling ill and said her arm was hurting her. Mrs. Labahn was a native of Germany, where she was born on June 25, 1859, and was married to William Labahn in 1880. Her maiden name was Louise Utech. They came to America in 1881 and lived one year in New York and then came to Le Mars where they lived seven years and then moved onto a farm southeast of Le Mars, after which they moved onto a farm in Johnson township, where she lived until the time of her death. Mr. Labahn died about tour years ago. She was the mother of eleven children and also had ten grandchildren. The children are Will Labahn, Mrs. Clarence Norton, Fred, Louie, Frank, Ed, Mrs. Fred Attrill, Walter and Alfred. Two children died in infancy. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her death two sisters-and two brothers. The funeral was held on Saturday, February 13, at the German Lutheran church In Johnson township.
