She was born on May 28, 1914, in Shenandoah and ws the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters born to the late Angus Jackson and Martha Blanche Printz Workman. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. She was known by many as the 'Penny Lady' helping collect pennies for Page One in Shenandoah.
