Description	:	Mrs. Louisiana Myers, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Crum, at Windfall Saturday morning. Mrs. Myers was one of the oldest women in the county and the only remaining Mexican war widow. She was 94 years of age. She was born near Rodgerville, Tenn. and is the last of a family of eleven children morn to John and Margaret Wines. Mrs. Myers was one of the oldest women in the county and the only remaining Mexican war widow. She was 94 years of age. She was born near Rodgerville, Tenn. and is the last of a family of eleven children morn to John and Margaret Wines. She came with her parents to Indiana in 1892, the family locating first in Union county, in 1829, later in 1845, they moved to Decatur county and settled near Greensburg. Here she was married to Green B. McCarty, April 7, 1853. One daughter, now Mrs. Rebecca Jones, of St. Paul, was born to this union. The husband died on August 6, 1855. Her second marriage was to Robert H. Myers, February 1860, in Decatur county. To this union four children were born, three of whom with their half sister, survive the mother. They are Mrs. Jennie Crum, Clinton D. Myers and Mrs. Nancy Crum. Mrs. Myers with her children moved from Decatur county to Tipton county in 1869, and settled on a farm two miles southwest of Windfall. She resided here until 1879, when she bought property in Windfall and moved to it. Her husband fought in the Mexican war until its close. As his widow, she was granted a pension in 1883 for his services in that war.
