Description	:	Lowell Eugene Coakley, 79 years young, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, 2011. He was born a triplet on December 24, 1931 to the late Martha E. and H. Morris Coakley of Carroll, Ohio. Lowell, lifelong resident of Carroll, was raised on a farm and continued farming as his main occupation. He served 18 months in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic. He was born a triplet on December 24, 1931 to the late Martha E. and H. Morris Coakley of Carroll, Ohio. Lowell, lifelong resident of Carroll, was raised on a farm and continued farming as his main occupation. He served 18 months in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic. He was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY and Germany. After his discharge, Lowell returned to Carroll and resumed responsibilities on the family farm while making plans for his own future. During his lifetime, Lowell was an active member of WorldHarvestChurch, the Carroll Lion's Club, Pleasantville Grange, and the Farm Bureau Council #8. He was also involved in the Masons and Eastern Star. Lowell and Nelda enjoyed spending time with their family and friends, traveling, dining out and serving their Lord. Lowell continued to make people smile with his playful sense of humor. This sense of humor and loving and generous spirit will be greatly missed. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters: Kathy (Mike) Boyer of Thornville and Kristine (Mike) Thomas of Chambersburg, PA., grandsons: Andrew (Amanda) Thomas of Ft. Meade, MD; Chad Thomas of Mechanicsburg, PA and Brayden Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; siblings: sisters, Eileen Miller of Thornville, triplet sisters Lois Wilson of Canal Winchester and Loise (Cliff) Searle of Carroll and brother Darrell (Mary) Coakley of Carroll. He also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Nelda R. (Arnott), as well as his parents, sister Virgene Brandt and an infant sister. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Lowell's love of agriculture, the family requests contributions be made in Lowell's name to the Bloom Carroll FFA, 5240 Plum Road, Carroll, OH 43112. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lowell's life with be Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 11 am at the FloralHillsMemoryGardens Chapel, Coonpath Road, Lancaster, OH.
