Born Dec. 28, 1934, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of Benjamin A. and Mary Rosalie Sensel Younker. He was a graduate of Hancock High School, class of 1952. Born Dec. 28, 1934, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of Benjamin A. and Mary Rosalie Sensel Younker. He was a graduate of Hancock High School, class of 1952. He and his wife owned and operated the Bridge Restaurant in Hancock for 55 years. He worked for the Washington County Election Board as chief judge for 34 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, where he served as an acolyte for 10 years. He was a member of James W. Bowers Lodge 173 AF&AM for more than 50 years, of Hancock; and, he was a member of Ali Ghan Shrine of Cumberland, Md. He served many years as a volunteer at many area nursing homes. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Catherine Caldwell Younker; one daughter, Kimberly and husband, William Fox, of Hagerstown, Md.; one son, Jerry Younker of Aberdeen, Md.; one granddaughter, Erin Rae Fox of Hagerstown; two sisters, Dolores Y. Creek of Hancock and Yetta J. Souders of Palm Coast, Fla.; one brother, Arnold L. Younker of Hancock; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 2 E. High St., Hancock. The Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. After the service, a luncheon will follow at St. Thomas' Parish Hall. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place, Glen Allen, VA 23060; or St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 2 E.
