Description	:	"HARLAN - Lowell Herbert Frampton, the son of Hayes A. and Mary (Jensen) Frampton was born on a farm near Corley, Aug. 22, 1921. He died while at Hastings, NE Oct. 7, 1988 at age 67 years, one month and 15 days. He attended country school and Harlan High School. In Sept. of 1942, he entered the U.S. Army, serving his country during WW II in the North Africa and Southern European Campaign in the 400th AAA Battalion Unit. After his honorable discharge from the Army in Sept. of 1945, he returned to the Shelby county area. May 14, 1946, he married... After his honorable discharge from the Army in Sept. of 1945, he returned to the Shelby county area. May 14, 1946, he married Evelyn Jensen at the Bethel Baptist Parsonage in Harlan. Three children were born to this union. After their marriage, they farmed in Audubon and Shelby County. While farming, he also worked at various part-time jobs including the Swiss Packing Plant in Omaha, NE as a janitor and bus driver at Harlan Community School; and as a janitor at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan. He was a member of Altamont Baptist Church, the Iowa Cornhuskers Association, and the National Cornhuskers Association. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Lotus. Surviving are two sons, Craig of Pinson, AL and James of Audubon; a daughter, Dixie (Mrs. James) Nelson of Manilla; six grandchildren; two brothers, Emerson of Harlan and Jerome of Clear Lake and other relatives. Funeral services were held Oct. 11, 1988 at Pauley Funeral Home with Pastor George Spencer of Merrill's Grove Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Cuppy's Grove cemetery, Shelby County with Bob Welk, Howard Gaer, Robert McCord, Clarence Larson and Kenard Christensen serving as honorary casket bearers. Jon Wooster, Edward Jensen, Lloyd D. Nelsen, Ralph Jorgensen, Lenard Schroder and Desmond Rudolph served as casket bearers. Pauley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
