Hahn 80 who suffered multiple face ures, confussion, numerous lacerations,and shock, when she was thrown from the car. the couple was taken to Duke Hospital in the Eikenberry ambulance. According to investigating officers a string of cars on route south had slowed down for another car making a right turn off the highway into a private drive. Hahn applied his brakes, causing his car to go off on the right bern. The vehicle then veered across the highway and was struck by a northbound semi tractor trailer. The impact occured off the highway on the east bern. the driver of the truck, who escaped injury, was Roy C. McCorkle 23, of Leesburg RR 1. He was driving a empty 1964 GMC tractor trailer owned by the Champion Door Corp. of Warsaw, Ind.. Investigating officers included, State Police Sgt. John Russie, State Troopers, Jack Rich, and Deputy Sheriff Lowell Maroman. Hahn's 1956 Dodge was listed a total loss and damages were estimated at $2,500 to the truck. The body was taken to Eikenberry Funeral Home. Pending arrangements.
