| Description | : | He was in the military for twenty nine years-During WW II he flew P51 mustang fighter planes on seventy one combat missions over Germany and Occupied France and was awarded numerous medals of valor. After his career in the militay was done he speaheaded the creation of the Locust Volunteer Fire Department and served as the first chief. Military rites were conducted for Davis by the Pope Air Force Base. He was married to Ruby Tucker who survives him. |
