Description	:	Earl H. Reich, age 75, of Ashland, Ohio, Friday November 6, 1998 at Kingston of Ashland. Earl had a distinguished public service career spanning 35 years. Most of his career after his Army Discharge in 1947 was with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. After graduating from the patrol academy in 1947, Earl held various ranks in the cities of Warren, Ashland, Zanesville, Fremont, Mansfield, Bucyrus, Massillon and Columbus. He rose to the rank of Lt. Colonial and served in the capacity of Assistant Superintendent until his retirement in 1976. Earl was instrumental in implementing the statewide Operation Crime Alert Program.... Read More	Earl H. Earl was active in the American Legion, VFW, F.O.P. and was a member of The United Grace Methodist Church of Venice, Florida. Survived by wife, Glenna (Sherred) Reich. Son, Craig (Charlotte) Reich of Mansfield, Ohio; Roberta (Earl) Mahone of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Lisa Reich of Charleston, S.C., Ashley O'Branovich of Lafayette, CA, Trenton Reich of Pittsburgh, PA; Matthew and Allison Mahone of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Clifford Reich of Venice, Florida and Duane Reich of San Diego, CA. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad Street, Ashland, Ohio, Sunday 4-7 p.m. Additional visitation will be held at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
