Fr. Bernard Starman and Fr. Joe Forcelle will officiate. Memorial Visitation will be from 10 - 11 am Monday morning before the service at the church. Luanne passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Avera St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall, South Dakota. Memorials may be direct to the family for future designation. Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Luanne Catherine Fritton was born on March 18, 1934 in O’Neill, Nebraska to Aloysius and Catherine (Murphy) Fritton. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1952. Luanne later attended the St. Catherine School of Nursing in Omaha and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Nursing in 1959. Luanne married her high school sweetheart, Eugene “Chinks” Adams on February 6, 1960 in Wayne, Nebraska. She worked at the Dahl Nursing Home in Wayne while Chinks finished degree at Wayne State College. After he graduated, the couple moved to Spencer, Nebraska. The couple had four children; Michael, Julie, Lori, and Bradley. Luanne worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill for a time. She worked as a nurse in many different areas, including, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes. Many people will remember her from when she worked with the W.I.C. programs. She retired in 1999. The couple moved to Dubuque, Iowa in 2010 and then later moved to Tyndall, South Dakota in 2018 due to health reasons. Luanne like to play cards, go to casino’s, and decorate her home for the holidays. She loved to shop and always liked to get dressed up. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Luanne was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spencer and the St. Mary’s Altar Society. Luanne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eugene Adams of Tyndall, South Dakota; four children, Michael (Jamey) Adams of Norfolk, Julie (Robert) Eby of Long Grove, Iowa, Lori (Scott) Kunz of Stuart, Bradley (Jackie) Adams of Tyndall, South Dakota; 11 grandchildren, Derek Adams, Garrett Adams, Eric (Jade) Eby, Adam (Brianna) Eby, Ryan (Stephanie) Eby, Ashli Kunz, Courtni Kunz, Bryan (Kristi) Adams, Kayli (Jared) VanWinkle, Alie Adams, Colin Adams; one great grandson, Grayson Adams; many nieces and nephews. Luanne is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one brother-in-law, infant Elaine Fritton and Marilyn (Thomas) Blake.
