Description	:	Luceen T. Ritz, age 86, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at a local care center. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church with Father Joe Forcelle as Celebrant. Music was furnished by the Immaculate Conception Funeral Choir accompanied by Leanne Giessinger. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Visitation was held on Friday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a Scripture/Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel, and on Saturday prior to services at the church. Luceen Theresa Ritz, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Ronke) Marquardt was born on October 24, 1921 in Florence, SD. She attended Flower Valley School and Florence High School, graduating in 1940. After she attended Watertown Business College, she was employed at Montgomery Ward from 1943-1979. She then worked at Freight Transit for about a year and then was employed at Brinkman Insurance, and several Watertown Businesses including, Prairie Lakes Nutritional Service, the Watertown Museum, A & A Appliance, Landon Corp. and Crystal Water, Inc. Luceen was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Watertown Credit Women, Municipal Golf Course, Ladies Birthday Club, a Life member of the Seventies Club, a former member of Props Singles Club, and was a member of the Ladies Watertown Bowling Association. She was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1970. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother, Charles Edward Marquardt. She is survived by her special friend, Charles Schurman of Watertown; and several cousins.
