Goodell was born July 10th, 1866, in Chickasaw County, Iowa, and passed away at Cherokee, Iowa, Monday, June 26th, 1916, after an illness of a year, the last few weeks of which he was afflicted with tubercular trouble. Goodell was born July 10th, 1866, in Chickasaw County, Iowa, and passed away at Cherokee, Iowa, Monday, June 26th, 1916, after an illness of a year, the last few weeks of which he was afflicted with tubercular trouble. He was united in marriage with Miss Nettie A. Dodds November 16th, 1899, and to them were born four children, one of whom died in infancy. The three remaining are Howard, Mable and Norma. Besides the bereaved wife and children, he also leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn his death. The funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Edgewood Wednesday, June 28th, the sermon being preached by Elder Hubbell of Manchester, and burial made in Edgewood cemetery. The Journal wishes to extend its most sincere consolation to the bereaved in their sorrow, all of whom are very grateful for the many acts of kindness and words of sympathy and cheer from all friends.
