LUCILE BANKS Mrs. Lucile Banks died at her home at 517 West Washington street, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, after an illness of several months of cancer of the breast. Mrs. Banks was born in Appanoose county. May 17, 1863. She was a daughter of the late Willis Martin. LUCILE BANKS Mrs. Lucile Banks died at her home at 517 West Washington street, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, after an illness of several months of cancer of the breast. Mrs. Banks was born in Appanoose county. May 17, 1863. She was a daughter of the late Willis Martin. She was married In 1883 to James Banks, son of the late Wesley Banks, of Bellair township, and to this union two children were born, Ethel, wife of Anthony Elwood, and Elmer, at home. Mr. Banks was a member of the M. E. church and of the W.R.C. She was a kind and affectionate mother and a woman well respected by all who knew her. Besides her children, deceased leaves two sisters, Mrs. Clum Arbogast, of Numa, and Mrs. Harley Parker, of Shenandoah, and four uncles, E. F. Martin. Two Buttes, Col., J. C. Martin, of Unionville, Mo., and W. C. and Alex Martin, of Centerville. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church. Wednesday morning and interment made at the Livingood cemetery, beside the remains of her husband who preceded her, several years ago, to that land "from whose bourne no traveller ever returns."
