Description	:	Lucille A. (Boodey) Hill 86, of Ashuelot, NH, died peacefully at her home on Friday morning, June 1, 2007. She was born in Barrington, NH, December 5, 1920, the daughter of John U. and Alice (Arlin) Boodey. She grew up in Barrington on the Elmwood Farm which is currently owned by the 10th generation of the Boodey family. She graduated from Coe Brown Academy in Northwood, NH, and was a 1942 graduate of the University of New Hampshire earning a degree in Geography. (Boodey) Hill 86, of Ashuelot, NH, died peacefully at her home on Friday morning, June 1, 2007. She was born in Barrington, NH, December 5, 1920, the daughter of John U. and Alice (Arlin) Boodey. She grew up in Barrington on the Elmwood Farm which is currently owned by the 10th generation of the Boodey family. She graduated from Coe Brown Academy in Northwood, NH, and was a 1942 graduate of the University of New Hampshire earning a degree in Geography. Mrs. Hill was a high school teacher in Sandwich, NH for a short time. She moved to Winchester where she taught at the Winchester Junior High School until starting her family. While raising her children, she continue teaching within the Winchester School District as a substitute teacher. She was a longtime member of the United Church of Winchester and an active member of the Ladies Society of the United Church. She was also an active member of the Winchester Women's Club and an active volunteer within the community. She enjoyed photography and creating photo albums, traveling throughout New England and beyond. She had a love of animals especially cats. Mrs. Hill was known as the family historian and enjoyed doing genealogy. Family was her life passion including their friends of which she considered everyone to be a part of her extended family. Her husband of 53 years, Daniel C. Hill, whom she married in Richmond, NH on June 26, 1948, died in 2001. Three brothers; Cecil W. Boodey, Leon E. Boodey, Ralph J. Boodey, and 2 sisters; Ida M. Pulsifer and Jennie B. Bennett, died earlier. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond Road, Winchester. Obituary from Foley Funeral Home
