Edward and Adeline (Harvey) McDaniel, was born November 12, 1926 at Dixon. She graduated from Creighton High School with the class of 1945. On Dec. 18, 1948 she married Jimmie O. Haskin at Plainview. Three children were born to them. They lived in the Creighton area, where they farmed for more than 20 years before moving to Royal. She taught school four years, sold Amway and Tupperware and also had a custom drapery business for several years. Haskin was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royal for more than 20 yeas before joining the Creighton United Methodist Church and was very active in church activities, such as being a church camp counselor, attending Methodist Charge Conferences in Lincoln for several summers and becoming a lay speaker. She was a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor and led a Bible study group in her home for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Arthur McDaniel and Marlyn McDaniel. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie, of Royal; daughters and their spouses, Bonnie and Gary Hines of O'Neill and Betty and Ray Gubbels of Osmond; son, Dick Haskin, of Royal; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren three step great grandchildren and sisters, Evelyn Milne, of O'Neill and Leona Raff, of Norfolk.
