Description	:	Lucille Bertha (Courchesne) Chaloux, 88, of Sunset Acres, Washington Street, Plainville, died on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham where she had been a resident for the past five weeks. She was the beloved wife of the late Laurent “Pete” Chaloux who died in 1971. She was the beloved wife of the late Laurent “Pete” Chaloux who died in 1971. Born in Norton, Massachusetts on October 28, 1917, she was raised and educated in Norton where she resided until moving to Central Falls, Rhode Island. She later returned to Massachusetts and settled in North Attleboro where she remained for 35 years prior to moving to Plainville 24 years ago. Many years ago, Mrs. Chaloux was employed for ten years as a seamstress for the former Peerless Company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She later worked as a camera operator and screen printer for Graphic Images in Plainville for 21 years until to her retirement in 1982. In recent years she had been employed by her niece, Shirley Nolin, at Shirley’s Fine Chocolates in downtown North Attleboro. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church, North Attleboro. She leaves a daughter: Rachel L. Meyer and her husband, Irving F. Meyer, of North Attleboro; a son: Donald L. Chaloux and his wife, Beverly G. (Elderkin) Chaloux, of Dighton; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a brother: Edgar Courchesne of Hickory, North Carolina and four generations of nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Oscar Courchesne, Bertha Smith, Abel Courchesne, Rita LaPierre, John Courchesne, Anita LaCroix and Simone Maher. Private visitation will be held in the “Memorial Chapel” of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Park Street, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Attleboro Kids Day Fund, P.O. Box 3215, North Attleboro, MA 02761.
